- I'm going to make a Wild Assed Guess ('WAG') that USR pulled the code not due
- to any legal issues but to prevent (1) people with non-US modems from
- mistakenly (or intentionally) installing US code in order to get newer
- features not yet implemented in the locally approved code and then tying up
- support lines to get it straightened out, and possibly (2) to thwart the
- upgrade plans of those who import US modems into countries where they are not
- approved for use.
